Beholder 14

This is Beholder 14, another beholder with teeth in relief instead of an actual mouth cavity with dozens of needle-like teeth.

Menorah with Spirals

This is my first menorah of the year. The spiral pattern is from a Halloween candle of the female monster from The Bride of Frankenstein.




Unfortunately, due to a random kiln accident, it's probably not salable. Another piece was placed too close to it in the glaze kiln and became fused to it. That beige blob is my initials and the white dot in the upper left corner of the initials is where I had to pry the other piece off of it. It was very sharp and it made me bleed.

Kalbon the Cambion Devil

This is my miniature of Kalbon, a Cambion devil and one of the main villains in Beyond the Crystal Cave. Actually, Kalbon is the consort of the main villain, the hag Soryth.

The mini is off model for a cambion devil, but I wanted to use the ape mold for the face. It makes him seem more bestial and vicious than a more humanoid design would.

Body Snatcher Boggle

This is one last boggle miniature for D&D Encounters. This one teleports inside your brain and forces you to attack your allies.

Alien Genitals

To go along with the attempts at sculptures of quasi-realistic human genitalia, this is meant to be the genitalia of some eldritch monstrosity from beyond curved spacetime.

Penis Monster 3

This is the third in a series of penis-shaped creatures. Elsewhere I'm just calling them "Phallic Objects" but here I feel comfortable enough to refer to them as "Penis Monsters."

Beholder 11

I was going to paint this beholder's eyes bright purple, but I think I like them better like this.

Beholder 12

I painted the eye of Beholder 12 as planned, but I think I liked it better unpainted (below). I'm leaving the other beholder (Beholder 11) with the eyes unpainted, and I'm considering refiring this one to burn off the acrylic paint.

Beholder 13

This tiny beholder doesn't require any extra painting, so I'm posting it out of order. It's my smallest beholder yet. It also uses a relief method of portraying teeth, rather than the needle-like teeth I usually use.

New Beholders with Unpainted Eyes

Today I got back three of my new series of beholders. On these two, Beholder 11 and Beholder 12, I left the eyes unpainted so that I could use some bright acrylic color.

Unfired Otyugh

I took a break from the beholders and made an otyugh, a D&D monster than looks something like a pile of garbage with an irregular jagged slash for a mouth and spiked tentacles. This one came out too cute for my taste. I think it's the legs. It looks like a slightly toothier version of one of those Mr. Men characters.





And this is another menorah, although the old lady in the synagogue gift shop said that Orthodox Jews can't use menorahs if the candles (except for the shammus) aren't all on the same level. I, apparently, was the (half-) Jew who didn't deserve to led out of Egypt.

This is the second in a series of dog-like creatures shaped like erect penises with erections and erect penises for tails.

This is Ent #2 without foliage.

I didn't bother trying to replicate the lush foliage, but I'm going to make up for it plugging some broccoli into its hole.

Hopefully at Knifepoint

Tonight I went to the studio to restock my shelf after my big sale.





I found a broken eyestalk from the Beholder I sold last week on the bottom shelf. That probably means someone broke it and was forced (hopefully at knifepoint) to buy it.
