This is another attempt at the Robotron Tank with a cassette replacing the weird geometric design on the original sprite.

More Robotron Ornaments

These are the remaining two robot types from Robotron 2084:  the Grunt and the Enforcer.

Robotron Tank 3

The design in the middle of the Robotron tank reminds me of a cassette tape.  Unfortunately, this tank's head became detached from the body.

Roberto Mask

This is a clay wallhanging in the shape of another Futurama robot, Roberto.  It's a bad photo, but I dislike the piece enough that I don't care.  Hopefully it's just practice for a vessel in the shape of Roberto's head.

This is a Tank robot from the arcade game Robotron 2084.

These were meant to be smaller Robotron 2084 objects to be used as Christmas tree ornaments, but they're probably still too heavy.

The Two Clamps Pots Together

These are the two Clamps Pots together:  the Small (5 inch) Clamps Pot and the Large (8.5 inch tall) Clamps Pot.

Large Clamps Pot

This a second, larger (8.5 inch) slab pot with the face of Clamps from Futurama.

Small Clamps Pot

This is the smaller of the two slab pots in the shape of the head of the violent robot known as Clamps from Futurama.

Robotron Brain 3

This is another Brain robot wall sculpture from the video game Robotron 2084.

Robotron 2084 Brain Wall Sculpture. 

This Robotron Brain was overfired due to a kiln malfunction and has a rough texture.  I glazed it using various oxides and Queens glaze. Eventually purged.

Robotron Brain 1

This is a Brain robot from the classic video game Robotron 2084.  The player's character plays the last real human being on Earth who must fight through hordes of robots, varying from mindless Grunts to the hyperintelligent Brains, which are able to convert the remaining cloned humans into deadly mutants.

This one is painted with acrylics.

Benderpot

This is the Benderpot, a birthday present commission.  It's a tall coil pot with robot features and a lid.  The satin white glaze looks crappy, but I knew it would; it was part of the commission.

Robot Eye Chamsas

These are small chamsas with eyes that are similar to the eyes on the Benderpot.

Due to some kiln anomaly, the glazes came out rough and bubbly.

Winged IG-88 Menorah 2

This is my third IG-88 Menorah and the second to show the assassin droid with wings.

This is a view from above, showing the holes for the candles.  This menorah was constructed while the clay slabs were a little too soft.  Some of the pieces are warped and the slabs don't fit together that well.

Winged IG-88 Menorah

A few years I made a menorah with molds of IG-88 on the front.  IG-88 is the assassin droid from The Empire Strikes Back.  This menorah has only one image of IG-88, but it has wings.  The menorah itself is made from flat slabs of clay, so it's much lighter than my other menorahs.  There is also a very subtle pattern scratched in the clay on the front, but it didn't come out because the glaze is too thick.

I started another slab menorah with more elaborate butterfly wings.  The slabs were still a little moist while putting it together so it may not turn out as sturdy.

This is a spare winged IG-88 that got fired along with the chamsa scraps.

Bender

This is the latest in a series of cartoon figures. I like how it came out even though I think it looks less like Bender and more like a guy in a Bender suit.









Like most of my cartoon figures, this one is open in the back to make balancing easier and exploding in the kiln less likely. Therefore, sadly, this Bender has no shiny metal ass to kiss.

Robot Goddess 3

Finally, I was able to produce a Robot Goddess that survived the kiln without any missing limbs or extremities.



For the sake of completeness, I'm also including my images of this entity called Dale-a (1986) and Bugmama (1994).

Robot Goddess Saga, Part 3

Today the Robot Goddess Saga installation on Sara's neighbor's patio was expanded by Sara and Dion. In addition to the two Robot Goddesses, it includes the stem from Skull Shroom 1 which was damaged when a shelf collapsed last year. A plot seems to have developed involving a conflict between the aliens and their monstrous Robot Goddesses against the human soldiers.

Robot Goddess Saga, Part 2

Robot Goddess 2 has gone to join Robot Goddess 1 in an installation on Sara's neighbor's windowsill. Please note the increased anatomical sophistication of RG2 over RG1.
