ceramicist and potter in Tucson, Arizona.
I work in the medium of stoneware clay and make hand-built pottery, sculpture, hamsas, ornaments, masks, and a variety of other forms.
Self-taught artist on the autism spectrum. I like monsters, insects, weird animals, body horror, horror comedy, Halloween decorations, fast food mascots, kitsch – and all of these creep into my work, but there’s really no overarching theme. I’m just frantically birthing as many clay monstrosities out into the world as I can until I’m no longer able to do so.
This blog has served as a record of my ceramic output since 2006.

Crested Auklet Chalice WIP
The fourth and last of this series of four pinch pot chalices.
Fuck, that's ugly. I hope it looks less ugly when it's glazed.

Axolotl Chalice WIP
This is the third of a series of 4 chalices. This one depicts the popular axolotl salamander. It's smiling because it loves being alive.

Eye Miter Pot
This is a tall slab pot decorated with a miter (pope's hat) and numerous eyes of different shapes and colors. The Hierophant Tarot card included a mandrill with a miter and this pot was made in conjunction with that card.
Celestial Telescope Goldfish Chalice WIP
This is one of a series of four hand-built ceramics chalices. The fish image is inspired by a photo from the Life Nature Library volume titled The Fishes. It looked like it would collapse if I left it right side up, so I left it to dry upside down. It's very possible that the stem will collapse to one side.

Phallic Monstrosity WIP
I sold out on penis-shaped sculpture this Xmas season. Time to get busy for next year so all the good boys and girls can get dick-shaped monstrosities under their trees.

Eris Chalice WIP
It's a pinch pot perched on a thick coil of clay with a face based partially on a sculpture of Eris from 2014 and partially on Carrie Fisher's hair buns in Star Wars Episode IV.

Flying Moon Faces
A few years ago I made a mold from the face of a statue my parents brought back from Hawaii. It's labeled as "Hawaiian Fertility God," but I'm not sure if it's a genuine Hawaiian deity or a Tiki Kitsch object for the tourist trade. These are new objects made from the mold.
