Aberrant Ceramics is the ceramic artwork of Aaron Nosheny.

I work in the medium of stoneware clay and make hand-built pottery, primitive sculpture, hamsas, and a variety of other forms. My work celebrates and pushes the plasticity of the medium. The content of the work follows an inner landscape of biological obsessions, psychic damage, and bouncy cartoon animals.

Black and White Column

This is a column sculpture with a primitive sculpted face.

Tardigrade 18 WIP

This is the first of a new series of tardigrades.  This one has big feet.  The facial features are not actually facial features, but they're based on an electron microscope image of a tardigrade that appears to have facial features.

Embryo Pot

This is a slab pot with the facial features of a 5-week-old human embryo.  I also made a mug with the same design.  Yes, it looks like a penis, but so did your head when you were a 5-week-old embryo.
