Aberrant Ceramics is the artwork of Aaron Nosheny,
ceramic artist and potter in Tucson, Arizona.
I work in the medium of stoneware clay and make hand-built pottery, sculpture, hamsas, ornaments, masks, and a variety of other forms.
Self-taught artist on the autism spectrum. I like monsters, insects, weird animals, body horror, horror comedy, Halloween decorations, fast food mascots, kitsch – and all of these creep into my work, but there’s really no overarching theme. I feel like I'm frantically birthing as many clay monstrosities out into the world as I can.

Marijuilden Figure
I'm calling this a figure, but it's actually a doll. Marijuilden is a portmanteau of marijuana and wilden. Wildens are a D&D race representing the forces of the natural world personified to fight off otherworldly horrors.

Smile
This was a leftover from the Awkward Cup. I fired it because it's deliciously out of character for me and it broke. I love how this event validates my shitty attitude.

Unholy Lamb Column
This thing has been floating around inside my head for four years. It originally came from a creepy old-fashioned Valentine's Day card of a grotesque cartoon lamb and the words "Take a gambol with me."
