ceramicist and potter in Tucson, Arizona.
I work in the medium of stoneware clay and make hand-built pottery, sculpture, hamsas, ornaments, masks, and a variety of other forms.
Self-taught artist on the autism spectrum. I like monsters, insects, weird animals, body horror, horror comedy, Halloween decorations, fast food mascots, kitsch – and all of these creep into my work, but there’s really no overarching theme. I’m just frantically birthing as many clay monstrosities out into the world as I can until I’m no longer able to do so.
This blog has served as a record of my ceramic output since 2006.

Tall Eye Pot Commission WIP
I just sold the Red Eye Pot and someone commissioned another one. It's a 10.5 inch tall slab pot with thirty eyes of various sizes in rings around the pot and spikes above the eyes.

Jenkin
I've been carrying around a squeaking toy rat in my backpack for a few years and I finally found a use for it: as a model for this piece. I was thinking of naming it after Brown Jenkin, the rat familiar with human features from H.P. Lovecraft's story "Dreams in the Witch House." I ended up glazing it with a glaze called "Pussywillow," which comes out grayish when applied lightly, so he's just Jenkin rather than Brown Jenkin.
