Aberrant Ceramics is the artwork of Aaron Nosheny, potter and ceramic artist based in Tucson, Arizona. Self-taught and neurodivergent, he has worked in the medium of stoneware clay since 2004, developing a practice rooted in literal construction and obsessive repetition. He makes non-traditional ceramics in a medium built on tradition, exploring the overlap between wonder and revulsion. Subject matter includes sympathetic monsters, insects, opossums, fast food mascots, and Halloween kitsch.
I am in love with my medium. I love the process of frantically birthing clay monstrosities, subjecting them to an epic trial by fire, and sending them out into the world.

Modern Human Symbol-Manipulator and Typographical Symbols WIP
These are for one of the figures for the Lovers Tarot card. It depicts a girl writing on a chalkboard.
This is a collection of interesting typographical symbols. Many of them are International Phonetic Alphabet characters. Musical notation symbols, letters in other alphabets, astrological symbols, and mathematical symbols are also represented. They're all backwards because I'm going to use them as stamps.

Cannabis Cup #9 With Flat Leaves
This is Cannabis Cup #9. I usually attach leaves made from slabs the same thickness as the cup and they get chipped very easily. This one has leaves traced into the slab that makes up the cup itself.

Eye Love You Eyes
I made Eye Love You and Eye Hate You pairs and a few weeks ago someone bought all my love magnets and left me with all the hate. Some of these are replacement love eyes.
Others extol love for other things, such as cats, weed, and Satan.
